Don't fight the darkness. Just let in the light.

The old man shuffled into the movie theater. He found a seat in the back so that he could enjoy the movie in relatively peace and quiet.

While the commercials were rolling before the feature started, he casually looked around the theater. It was dark and gloomy. The fabric on the seats was worn through. His shoes were sticking to the floor which had been coated with spilled soda.

He glanced at some of the other people in the audience. Most of them were old like him. Their hair was disheveled and their eyes were dead. He thought to himself, "This is hell on earth. How did I end up here?"

As he was thinking about his fate, the movie started. He had seen this same movie a thousand times before. It was a psychological thriller that had no beginning or end. It consisted of only random fragments of broken dreams.

He suddenly realized that he needn't die there. He jumped up and out of the theater only to find the warm glow of the day. He felt the embrace of the cosmos, the overflowing glory that is.

In that instant, he discovered that he didn't need to fight the demons in the dark. All he needed to do was walk outside and embrace the light.
